TO DANCE OR NOT TO DANCE?

Reagan has been really struggling with her new dance program this year.  We changed from UDA to Synergy because all of her friends were going to Synergy.  In addition the dance teacher she has had for the past two years at UDA is only teaching while Regan is at school.  Change is hard for Reagan and she needs time to adjust.  I received a phone call from one of the directors at Synergy telling me that she has had two teachers comment about Reagan and that they are wondering what to do with her.  (A phone call every mother wants to receive)  So I sat down with Reagan and had a conversation with her about dance.  I told her she needed to think really hard whether she wanted to do dance or not.  I told her she could do this dance, or no dance because Miss Laura couldn't teach her this year and this is where all her friends were going.

Later that evening, during dinner, we were talking about dance again and Reagan said "Maybe you should give me a reason to cry, then I will go to my room and then I will think about it!"  I looked and Dan and wasn't quite sure how to respond to that comment.  It amazes me what her brain comes up with.  She is quite a challenge at times.
