For Jaxson's birthday this year we decided to have a pirate party! We sent out treasure maps for invitations and gave each child a pirate name! (We were the talk of the neighborhood before the party even began. Some of the kids made their families call them by their pirate name for a week.) As the kids arrived, we started out by swabbing the deck with eyeball balls and mops. We then had a peg-legged race, after which, all the kids received their pirate bandanna's, eye patches and swords. A pirate party wouldn't be complete without walking the plank, so each pirate took their turn! Dan was kind enough to make pirate ships out of plank board and we had a couple of cannon ball fights using black water balloons and black cannon balls! This was the hit of the party! Last but not least we had a bona fide treasure hunt... Madison read all the clues as the pirates searched for their treasure and each pirate received a treasure chest full of gold!!!
Captain Jaxson and me hearties had a day full of adventure! ARRRRR

Really cute! It's a great idea! I hope you keep everything, because I will want to use it in about 4 years! :) ha ha!
